By using Sereno, you agree to these terms. We have tried to write them in plain language.

Using Sereno

Sereno is a stress management app for iOS and watchOS. Here is what you need to know about using it:

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use Sereno
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple ID
  • You agree to use Sereno only for its intended purpose: personal stress awareness and management
  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your Apple devices

Sereno does not require an account or login. Your data stays on your device.

The App and Website

These terms cover both the Sereno iOS app and the Sereno website (serenoai.app):

App Terms

  • The Sereno app is available on the Apple App Store for iOS 17.6+ and watchOS 10.0+
  • App features depend on your subscription tier (Free or Premium)
  • The app requires access to Apple HealthKit to function. Without health data, Sereno cannot calculate stress scores
  • App updates are distributed through the App Store

Website Terms

  • The Sereno website provides information about the app, educational content, and legal documents
  • Website content is protected by copyright
  • You may not scrape, reproduce, or redistribute website content without permission
  • Website analytics are collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless)

Health Disclaimer

Sereno is not a medical device.

  • Sereno does not diagnose any medical condition
  • Sereno does not provide medical advice
  • Sereno does not replace professional healthcare
  • Stress scores are for personal awareness only and should not be used for medical decisions

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Sereno's crisis resources provide general information and hotline numbers. They are not a substitute for professional help.

The stress score (0-100) is calculated from biometric data using a proprietary algorithm. It is an indicator of physiological stress patterns, not a clinical measurement. Individual results may vary.

Subscriptions and Payments

Sereno offers Free and Premium tiers. All billing is handled by Apple:

  • Premium Monthly: $6.99/month with 7-day free trial
  • Premium Yearly: $39.99/year with 7-day free trial
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Settings > Subscriptions
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods. Apple handles all refund requests

Intellectual Property

All rights in the Sereno app, website, and related content are owned by BSBApps:

  • The Sereno name, logo, and Aurora design system are trademarks of BSBApps
  • App code, algorithms, and design are proprietary
  • Website content, blog articles, and educational materials are copyrighted
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission

Personal use of the app as intended is, of course, permitted under these terms.

User Content

Sereno generates content based on your data (stress scores, AI insights, daily summaries). This content:

  • Is generated for your personal use only
  • Should not be relied upon as medical advice
  • Remains on your device unless you choose to share it (e.g., doctor report export)
  • If you send us feedback or diagnostic reports, you grant us permission to use that information to improve Sereno

Limitation of Liability

Sereno is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that stress scores will be accurate in all circumstances.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BSBApps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Sereno in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • For material changes, we will notify you through the app
  • Continued use of Sereno after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms

We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
